Beginner Yoga Series


This is a beginner course that is perfect for someone who has always wanted to try yoga and wants to be taught in a structured setting. The following will be covered in the 4 week course.

Week 1: The class will focus on correct alignment of postures to ensure safety and promote the integrity of the pose. The class will then flow through simple sun salutations, and some standing postures.

Week 2: The class will then begin to link the breath and alignment from the previous weeks together, working on arm and core strength. Some balancing postures will be explored

Week 3: The class will then begin to link the breath and alignment from the previous weeks together and introduce back bending and shoulder opening related to backbends.

Week 4: The class will then begin to link the breath and alignment from the previous weeks together and introduce twisting postures and opening up through the hips.
